Ragini Shetty aka Abhijatha had the most important role in "Bigg Boss". She was a spy for the Bigg Boss was a fake celebrity, she had to create new identity, telling lies after lies, to convence the Bigg Boss participants that she also a celebrity. In fact, almost more than half of the season, they believed that Ragini Shettyis a popular south Indian actress, who acted in few Kannada and Tamil movies and is looking for a break in the bollywood.She was in the "Big Boss" for the love of Adventure,the concept of the show and interact with other personalities.
Introduction in Bigg Boss:
Bigg Boss’s host Arshad Warsi is the last and the 13th celebrity as Ragini Shetty from South India. As she came out of the car, she didn’t lot of encouragement and applause. Arshad asked if she could speak Hindi and responded positively. After she went in to Bigg Boss’s home Arshad reveals a "twist in the story" that she is not a movie star, she was not from South India, and she was a secret agent they sent to spy on celebrities up close.
The true identity:
Abhijatha is 24 years old and has been working as a production assistant for the past three years. She wrote scripts and want to make a movie. She has done modelling (Orbit chewing gum and some TV commercials that aired on Chennai Doordarshan) . Post "Bigg Boss" she has received acting offers too. In fact Abhijatha was auditioning to become a VJ on Channel [V] when Endemol offered her the show ".
Abhijatha worked as assistant director for serials like "Kyun Hota Hai Pyar (Star Plus) and “Hotel Kingston” (Star One)." Kyun Hota Hai Pyar" had her “Bigg Boss” co-candidate Amit Sadh as actor !
Family Life:
Abhijatha attend Vidya Niketan School and studied visual arts in SRM College, Chennai. She has also done a course in fashion design from Coimbatore.A few months ago, when she began working for an NGO in Bangalore. She is very interesting in social work. But because of her sister, Thara's illness, she was forced to stop and back to Chennai.
Although Abhijata family is originally from Chikmagalur, Karnataka, they moved to Bangalore a few years before finally, settling in Chennai. Her father, KH Umesh, a director who specializes in special effects and animations. He is currently a consultant for a film company in Chennai. He also makes films for the Government of Karnataka.
Abhijatha has an older brother Ajai Umesh, a fashion photographer.
